Bear Lake Lodge, established in 1956, is located on the lower Alaskan peninsula near Port Moller. Master guide Don Johnson, a pioneer in Alaska guiding and aviation, acquired the lodge as a means of enjoying the vast expanses of some of the most beautiful land and best hunting and fishing in the world. Through the late 1960's and early 1970's, Don's children, Warren and Laurie, followed in their father's footsteps and began working in the day-to-day operations of the lodge. The lodge is now owned and operated by Master guide Warren Johnson and his sister Laurie Johnson, with the support of several key employees.
Visiting the lodge you will find a world-class team of guides, whether you are interested in hunting Alaska's Brown Bear, fishing King Salmon, sockeye or trout or simply enjoying the beauty of the land that surrounds the lodge.
